Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the planning, design, provisioning, and operations of CTA’s network.
  • Coordinates with vendors for installation of routers, switches, multiplexers, OTN/WDM/SDH/SONET equipment servers, etc.
  • Collects and analyzes network utilization. Generates periodic network status reports.
  • Take the lead in daily NOC operations as well as in emergency outage, like devising a restoration plan in the event of a main outage on CTA network.
  • Responsible for CTA new circuits turn-up; provision/activation/testing of the circuits in mid-sale stage. Ensure the circuit performance/quality before the circuit delivery.
  • Conduct trouble-shooting of VIP customer circuit issues & urgent cases. Provide high-level supportfor circuit related issues that were escalated from NOC.
  • Maintain CTA network and equipment to ensure each equipment is running in good condition.
  • Coordinate with network construction project manager upon completion of network construction projects and network maintenance.  Capable of demonstrating how to enhance and optimize existing network infrastructure and platform.
  • Ability to perform training and guidance to new network engineers.

Qualifications:

  • M.S. degree of Electrical Engineering/Telecommunications, Computer Science, or similar fields.
  • Seven years hands-on working experience in telecom carrier area.
  • Must be fluent in both Chinese and English to read, write and verbally communicate.
  • Hands-on experience with the operation of Cisco routers and switches.
  • Experience of transport and IP network.
  • Professional knowledge with ICT and telecommunication networks.
  • CCIE certification required.
  • Have good communications skills in dealing with actual customers.
  • With high troubleshooting skill; easily identify and solve technical issues.
  • Able to work with less supervision and a good team-player.
