Responsibilities

• Develop and innovate on mission-critical financial systems to meet users’ needs
• Code in a mainstream enterprise stack
• Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate and Angular
• JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML and CSS
• Gain proficiency with Eclipse / IntelliJ and other development tools
• Contribute in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) application development using Git, Docker and OpenShift environments
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs
• Explore modern NoSQL / Document-based DBs such as MongoDB
• Create applications using industry-standard development methodologies, such as Agile/Scrum
• Become an effective member of a real-world project and collaborate with a network of people to contribute to its successful completion on time and on budget

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a University degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
• A 3rd year student enrolled in a formal co-op/internship program
• Available to work with us for 16 months from May 2020 to August 2021
• Familiarity with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate and Angular
• Familiarity with Web Technologies – JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML and CSS
• Students with a passion for learning about application development practices and methodologies
• A can do attitude, a passion for problem solving, and the ability to take initiative
• Basic coding experience is an asset
