Provalue Group Inc. is a recruiting agency that provides services for hiring and job-hunting services. Our company is looking for an experienced permanent full-time Human Resources Manager. This candidate will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices, as well as overseeing the HR department functions. The right candidate must possess solid communication skills, and decision-making capabilities based on analytical skills and critical thought processes. 

Provalue operation focuses on a large amount of effort in assisting the hiring for the local small business and big corporation. We are also retained by foreign companies for recruiting qualified candidates to work abroad. Due to the rapid expansion of our company, this human resources manager position may relocate to Ottawa in two years to set up our new branch and build up our new team

Responsibilities:

  • Assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs
  • Plan, develop and implement recruitment process
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operation
  • Organize and administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures
  • Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers
  • Manage contracts
  • Manage training and development strategies
  • Liaise with management, and employees
  • Prepare reports and control budget and expenditures
  • Respond to employee questions ,complaints, and disputes , and other employee relations issue which may arise
  • Oversee the analysis of employee data and information
  • Oversee development of communication strategies
  • Oversee the classification and rating of occupations
  • Oversee payroll administration
  • Supervising over 20 employees
  • Business travel with Director/President twice per year
  • May relocate to Ottawa branch in 2 years

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR field with at least 3 years in supervising staffs
  • Sound knowledge and experience in employee relations and human resources
  • Self-directed and highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Superior attention-to-detail, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • A team player who is accountable, proactive, and solution-oriented
  • Results oriented and able to work effectively in a fast paced challenging environment.
  • Excellent computer literate with computer systems such as Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) and HRM software
  • Mandarin Speaking is an asset but not mandatory
