About the job:


The Financial Analyst is responsible for tracking, analyzing and reconciling all vendor invoices via our 2-way price match system to accurately pay suppliers and clients ensuring the company’s capital integrity. This critical role will entail keeping a sharp eye on expenditures, analyzing trends, highlighting deviations from budgets, and working closely with key stakeholders within the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing, evaluating and implementing pricing strategies and models based upon current business and competitive market dynamics
  • Continuously monitoring, auditing and analyzing price quote activity to assure systematic risks are identified and corrected, and pricing formulas and tables are properly maintained for approved pricing changes
  • Designing pricing activity reports and perform routine maintenance of pricing activity reports to assure management visibility of pricing activities and the ability to evaluate integrity of the pricing and discounting processes
  • Conducting research and performing competitive pricing analysis
  • Monitoring ongoing competitive environment to ensure practices do not adversely impact company reputation or customer satisfaction
  • Partnering with Sales/Marketing, Business Development and Finance to correctly advise on pricing policies
  • Updating/Creating pricing databases and coordinate implementation of pricing proposals across multiple verticals/categories
  • Assisting and advising on projects that impact price changes, individual promotions and rebate programs
  • Effectively coordinating pricing exception requests for reasonability and maintenance
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards for all levels of stakeholders
  • Owning and dealing with ad-hoc accounting issues
  • Compiling monthly, quarterly and yearly financials for external and internal users
  • Responsible for completing and coordinating financial audits with external auditors
  • Interfacing with various stakeholders at the company to resolves issues regarding pricing and to ensure the ongoing effective communication remains a top priority
  • A/R and A/P support, as required
  • All other duties as assigned within the scope and spirit of the position.

Requirements:

  • Advanced MS Excel
  • Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Business or related field of study
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in data analysis, analytics or finance
  • Must be able to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High comfort level working with large amounts of data
  • Must be a team player, proactive, and possess excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Have the flexibility and willingness to meet varied hours
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
